Ford engineers couldn't be more excited to have so much riding on the 2017 Super Duty's improved high-strength steel frame. We have to admit, even our team at Ed Shults Ford-Lincoln didn't know what to expect when John Brenkus proposed letting the Tough Science team dangle over 60,000 lbs. of dead weight in mid-air from the frame of the newly redesigned military-grade aluminum alloy body of the 2017 Ford Super Duty. Then again, we felt America's leading heavy-duty pickup had a point to make.
