The Ford Expedition is an SUV with capabilities that stretch far beyond just hauling occupants and cargo. The Expedition does offer some of the best passenger volume and cargo space in its category but it performs very well too.
Performance
The powertrain of the new Ford Expedition allows the SUV to provide great performance to drivers. A twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine powers the entire lineup of Expedition models. However, there are two variants of this V6 engine. In its standard form, the 3.5-liter engine produces 375 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. In its upgraded form, the 3.5-liter engine produces 400 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque.
Towing
The new Ford Expedition has a 9,300-pound maximum towing capacity. Towing is made simple in the Expedition through a variety of features. The available blind-spot monitoring system of the Expedition allows drivers to remain aware of objects at the side of the SUVs and trailers.
