Recently Ford presented the all-new EcoSport to the LA Auto Show, revealing the next generation compact SUV that has been smartly styled for life’s opportunities. Trim on the outside, spacious inside. It’s ready to do it all.
The nimble, sporty design emphasizes the crossover’s lively nature, as aerodynamics meet performance. The unique tailgate opens sideways, instead of lifting up, so drivers will want to ensure they have sufficient clearance prior to loading and unloading.
Inside, the EcoSport offers comfort and plenty of head room and leg room, including in the rear. There are lots of storage options, from the shelf above the glove box that holds cell phones and other small items to the slot in the glove box that will keep the owner’s manual out of the way. In the cargo area, the floor can be moved up to be flush with the hatch, creating a nice and secure storage area small bags and backpacks underneath.
Of course, there’s a lot of tech inside. Every 2018 EcoSport gets a standard four-inch infotainment screen that “floats” on top of the dash (six- and eight-inch upgrades will be available), while Sync® 3, Apple CarPlay™, Siri Eyesfree and Android Auto™ are available. Because gear needs charging, the center console houses two fast-charging USB ports and a 12-volt power point, and a 12-volt power point in the rear seat is standard (you can order a 110-volt outlet). Stay entertained with an available 10s-speaker, 675-watt B&O Play stereo with subwoofer.
We’re looking forward to experiencing the EcoSport when it arrives in early 2018. Visit Ed Shults Ford-Lincoln and take a look at our current inventory of Ford vehicles.
